Florida Constitution Review Commission Approves Eight Proposals
The Florida Constitution Review Commission has approved the final revisions for this year's election. These eight items will appear on the 2018 General Election ballot:
Use the above links to view the full ballot text of the revised proposals. The deadline for the final ballot summary is May 10. These proposed amendments require 60 percent voter approval to become law.
In addition to these eight amendments from the CRC, there were a total of three proposed Constitutional amendments passed by House Joint Resolution in the Legislature. Two citizen initiatives gained enough petition signatures to make the ballot as well. Statewide there will be 13 amendments on the ballot in Florida.
Earlier this month, the Palm Coast City Council approved three charter amendment items. City of Palm Coast voters will have an additional three charter referenda items to decide in November 2018 for a grand total of 16 issues on the ballot.
